Testimonials
"I have really enjoyed being on the board of trustees and volunteering for the great events the museum puts out for the community. I have learned a lot about the history of Logan County even though I have lived here all my life."
- Patty Furrow
"The Logan County Museum brings history "alive" with many hands on/minds on activities for our Southeastern second graders. Thanks to Mr. McCormick and his staff for providing our students with a better understanding and appreciation of our past."
- Phil Forsythe
"If you're a veteran of service in the U.S. military or are interested in any of the wars in our nation's history, you owe it to yourself to check out the displays and archive materials at the Logan County Museum."

"The Logan County Museum makes history come alive! Whether it's the enthusiasm of the docents/tour guides, the re-enactments of famous Logan Countians
by the Young Historians, the wonderful Christmas
displays of Christmas through the years, the Open
Houses honoring our communities and citizens, or the
Flatwoods School with its living history lab and
one-room school house - all are unique and
enjoyable. Whoever thought history couldn't be fun?"

Central Crossing High School
"When we retired 10 years ago, one of the places we wanted to volunteer was the museum. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. Volunteering for the Logan County Historical Society has broadened our friendships, provided a better grasp of local history, and given us wonderful outlet for some of our personal talents. We really enjoy guiding visitors through the museum and Orr Mansion. Outsiders are truly impressed with the facilities. At Christmas, many visitors return annually as part of their own family traditions. That in itself says a great deal about the acceptance of Logan Countians to learn and enjoy the history."

"The Logan County Museum and the Logan County Historical Society have been instrumental in enabling the Logan County Convention & Tourist Bureau (CTB) to educate our youth about local attractions and in bringing visitors to Logan County.
"The CTB implemented a Field Trip Grant three years ago for the benefit of Logan County elementary students. The Grant educates third graders about local history and historical landmarks by allowing them to take class trips to these places of interest. Todd McCormick has spent much time in organizing the field trip curriculum and itineraries to align with the 3rd grade state testing standards, so that schools would see the value in utilizing the Grant program. The CTB would not have had the expertise to do this without Todd. In addition, the Logan County Historical Society has financially sponsored the Grant program in the last two years.
"The Logan County Museum and Logan County Historical Society also assists the CTB in bringing visitors (and revenue) to Logan County by offering the Museum and Orr Mansion as a bus tour stop. The CTB brings over 20 chartered bus tours to Logan County annually. Logan County Historical Society volunteers show the many bus tour visitors through the Museum and Orr Mansion and answer their many questions. Tourism provides a boost to our local economy and the CTB needs tour stops of interest, such as the Museum and Orr Mansion, to bring visitors to Logan County."
